1 THE AMERICAN Exchange Project was started in 2019 by David McCullough III, who previously worked as a substitute teacher. While most exchange programs involve sending high school students to foreign countries, the American Exchange Project sends American students to other parts of America – to places they’ve never visited before, where the people and lifestyles are different from the people and lifestyles in their own towns and cities.
2 It’s a program open only to students who have just graduated from high school.
